Time Management is hard

“I have plenty of free time” is not something frequently said by DevOps engineers, IT Pros, or Sysadmins.

That’s why I wrote this book.

My qualifications? I’m a time management disaster just like you. The difference is that I have dozens of coping mechanisms that let me fake it. People think I have great time management skills. The truth is that without my todo list and a few other key techniques I’d be lost.

So I wrote down my coping mechanisms.

It’s less than 200 pages.

You really only need to read the first half. You can read it this weekend… if your boss isn’t making you work over-time.

The goal of the book is to reclaim the 40 hour work week, manage stress, and enjoy life.

Learn how to…

  • Manage a never-ending pile of work

  • Manage interruptions

  • Eliminate time-wasters

  • Keep an effective calendar

  • Develop routines

  • Focus your brain on the task at hand

  • Prioritize based on customer expectations

  • Document and automate processes

You’ll also learn techniques that help you outside of work too. Why? Because you should work to live, not the other way around.

A timeless classic since 2005

Sure, this book was written before iPhones and Androids, but you’re smart and you’ll figure it out. Every time you read “Palm Pilot” just pretend it says “cell phone”. You’ll be just fine.
