Tom Limoncelli

Technology:

Tom is an internationally recognized author, speaker, system administrator and DevOps advocate. He is known for books including Vol 1: The Practice of System and Network Administration , Vol 2: The Practice of Cloud System Administration, and Time Management for System Administrators (O'Reilly).

He writes the “Everything Sysadmin” column in ACM Queue Magazine.

He has worked at Stack Overflow, Google, Bell Labs / Lucent, AT&T and others.

Activism:

Tom is an organizer, trainer, an speaker from New Jersey. An early adopter of internet technology, in 1991 he introduced NJ’s LGBT activism community to email campaigns (assisting the successful passage of the state’s gay rights law) and later added web and social media to multiple projects. He has founded activist and support groups, lead fundraising efforts, been president of a statewide coalition, and has taught activism skills in the US and Canada. He has run multiple grassroots bisexual conferences and even co-produced a pro-Obamacare rally that was covered by Fox News.
